About
THE ASSOCIATION
Elsewhere and Here, an association of general interest, was born from a desire, a need crazy, absolutely necessary.
I saw a Violins of Hope concert on television in Germany. The emotion that emanated from this concert was so strong that I could not look away for a single second.
The Violins of Hope belonged to the victims of the Shoah, they were their support when they had to face the unbearable in the concentration camps.
For years Amnon Weinstein, an Israeli luthier, has been restoring the violins of the victims of the Holocaust and giving them a second life. He puts in the hands of musicians on different stages of the world his " Violins of Hope ". He plays them for a concert that never leaves anyone indifferent, a show in which everyone comes out transformed.
The Ka drums played the same role of support for the Black slaves of the Caribbean.
These two instruments have so much to say to each other, so much to teach us.
Of them crimes against humanity, of them peoples, two fights, two resistances, two nomadic and resilient instruments.
And that's how the Ailleurs et Ici association was born, thanks to the determination of my whole family.

The president
Native of Pointe-à-Pitre, I grew up under the Guadeloupe sun. In my family the kitchen has a central place. My mother an outstanding cook to me gives the taste of good products and good food. I loved eat but i cooked very little and very badly. I leave living in Paris, my mother's cooking sorely lacking and I learn to cook alone in front of my stove with the taste of my mother's cooking in memory.
I become model, then decides to change universe after the birth of my three sons. Cooking, my new passion, imposes itself on me as a matter of course. Married to nutritionist Philippe Peltriaux, we let's co-write several cookbooks, where we reconcile gluttony, slimming and healthy food. I write several Creole cookbooks.
With a degree in psychology and history, I add a string to my bow and publish an unusual dictionary on Creole languages and cultures with Larousse editions.
Today as president of the association Ailleurs et Ici je want exchange with other peoples in order to promote Caribbean culture through events that bring people together.

Everyone shares the values and the associative project of Ailleurs et Ici, and aims to make them shine through the next pages that we will write together.
